Nottingham Forest are pleased with Atletico Mineiro’s proposal for Gustavo Scarpa. The Brazilian is currently on loan at Olympiacos, but Forest want to offload him in January.
Scarpa, who joined Forest in January of this year, has yet to make an impression. He came from Palmeiras, where he won the Golden Ball for his efforts during the club’s title-winning season.

The versatile attacker made 10 appearances for Forest. His best performance arguably came against Leicester when
Ian Wright raved about his performance on Match of the Day.
Atletico Mineiro want to tie up deal for Scarpa
Scarpa is no longer needed at Forest. Goal Brasil claims that Mineiro are back on the market and have made a £3.5 million bid for the player.
Forest are delighted with that fee for the player, but Scarpa needs to be persuaded to return to Brazil.
When he signed with Forest, he stated that playing in Europe had always been his goal. However, given his current struggles with Olympiacos, the dream has turned into a nightmare.
Forest have to convince Scarpa to leave
Scarpa is never going to get a break at Forest. Although he showed glimpses of talent, he appeared befuddled in the Premier League.
Scarpa needs to get away from Forest and return to his best, and there is no better place to do it than Brazil, where he has already shown that he can flourish in that league.
According to the source, Mineiro is aiming to persuade Scarpa to return to South America when the January transfer window reopens.
Forest wants Scarpa gone, and the January transfer window appears to be a nice opportunity for Forest to trim their roster a little bit.
