Huge Boost: USC Trojans Land Commitment Of Florida Top Prospect over Alabama, Georgia, Michigan and many others.

Jackson’s commitment follows his official visit to Southern California this weekend, during which he watched the Trojans deliver a decisive 48-0 victory over the Utah State Aggies.

Ranked as the No. 25 overall recruit and the top linebacker in the country by On3, Jackson is a significant boost to USC’s 2025 recruiting class. Standing 6-1 and weighing 200 pounds, the Loxahatchee, FL, native chose USC over offers from Alabama, Georgia, Michigan, and several other top programs.

Jackson is known for his remarkable speed at linebacker, excelling in both run defense and pass coverage. He also demonstrates considerable power in tackles, often making a strong impact on ball carriers.

Andrew Ivins of 247Sports describes him as “a tackle machine on Friday nights who has excelled in combine settings.” He notes that Jackson has been one of the most productive players in South Florida for the 2025 class, with over 350 career tackles before his senior season. Ivins highlights Jackson’s quickness and physicality, mentioning his ability to make impactful tackles and his effectiveness in drop coverage due to his instincts. While Ivins acknowledges that Jackson needs to continue developing his play diagnosis, he sees significant potential for Jackson to become a key multi-year starter at the collegiate level, with his highest potential as an inside linebacker.

During his junior year at Seminole Ridge, Jackson showcased his versatility by contributing 135 tackles, four tackles for loss, four forced fumbles, two sacks, and two interceptions on defense, while also catching 15 passes for 257 yards and five touchdowns on offense.

In 2023, Jackson demonstrated his exceptional versatility by scoring two kick return touchdowns.

The top-tier linebacker is joining USC’s 2025 recruiting class, which already includes 18 commitments, 13 of whom are considered blue-chip prospects. A blue-chip prospect is defined as a player rated either four-star or five-star. Jackson will be part of Matt Entz’s linebacker group alongside four-star Jadon Perlotte from Buford, GA.

With Jackson’s commitment, the Trojans are now ranked No. 13 nationally in the recruiting standings, according to Rivals.Coveted 4-star LB Ty Jackson has locked in four official visits and he dives into his recruitment - On3Lincoln Riley and his staff initially extended an offer to Jackson in May and successfully secured his commitment less than four months later. With the early signing period about three months away, USC is finalizing their 2025 recruiting class.

Jackson has also committed to playing in the Under Armour All-American game in Orlando, scheduled for late December. During the week leading up to the game, he will practice against some of the best high school players in the country before participating in the nationally televised all-star event.
