Kentucky emerging for massive 4-star in-state recruit Malachi Brown
The Corbin native has received an expert prediction in favor of the Cats.

A huge recruiting weekend is on tap in Lexington this weekend as Will Stein will look to lock down multiple high-priority visitors. None might be bigger than a home-state 4-star recruit from right down the road.

Malachi Brown is the No. 4-ranked player in the state of Kentucky in the 2027 class. The 6-foot-4, 265-pound defensive lineman hails from Corbin, Kentucky, and is highly sought after all around the country. Brown is the No. 262 overall player in the 2027 247 Sports Composite Rankings.

Ahead of his massive visit this weekend, Rivals’ Steve Wiltfong is pegging the Cats as the favorite for Brown. This will be Brown’s third visit to Kentucky in 2026 — the other two being unofficial visits.

Brown is scheduled to visit the Purdue Boilermakers and the Volunteers over the next two weekends (June 12th and June 19th, respectively), but Stein and Anwar Stewart will look to shut it down this weekend. We could be looking at yet another huge recruiting win for the Cats.
