Breaking News: Milwaukee Bucks Secure Major Signing of Another Star Player
NBA Trade Proposal Suggests Giannis Antetokounmpo to the 76ers, Paul George to the Bucks
In a bold move for the offseason, Tony Jones of The Athletic has proposed a trade idea that could send two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo from the Milwaukee Bucks to the Philadelphia 76ers, with Paul George heading to the Bucks in return.
Jones suggested that the 76ers trade George, Jared McCain, several future first-round picks (including 2025, 2028, and 2029), as well as a 2030 pick swap, to the Bucks for Antetokounmpo.
“While taking back George is a challenging proposition, this deal offers an abundance of assets, starting with the 2025 first-round pick, which could land in the top six if Philadelphia retains control,” Jones explained.
He further noted that McCain is an exciting young prospect, and the 2028 pick is unprotected, potentially benefiting the Bucks in the future when the Clippers may no longer have key stars like Kawhi Leonard and James Harden.
“This trade also includes a swap for the 2029 pick and a 2030 unprotected first-round pick, providing Milwaukee with immediate premium draft assets, a promising young talent in McCain, and additional future value. The Bucks wouldn’t find a potential top-five pick elsewhere,” Jones added.
The 76ers, despite having stars like George, Joel Embiid, and Tyrese Maxey, missed the playoffs this year, largely due to injuries to key players, including George and Embiid.
On the other hand, the Bucks were eliminated by the Indiana Pacers in the first round of the playoffs, marking their second consecutive early playoff exit since their 2021 championship win against the Phoenix Suns.
George, who played 41 games for the Sixers this season, averaged 16.2 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 4.3 assists. The nine-time All-Star is set to earn $51.7 million next season.
Antetokounmpo, who has been with the Bucks his entire career, played 67 games this season, posting averages of 30.4 points, 11.9 rebounds, and 6.5 assists. The future Hall of Famer is set to make $54.1 million next season.
