‘I’d be ringing’: Alan Pardew tells ‘world class’ player to contact Newcastle and arrange a transfer
Alan Pardew has said that David de Gea should move to Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United.
The former Newcastle manager believes that De Gea would be a perfect signing for the Magpies.
So, what has Alan Pardew said about Newcastle United and David de Gea? Let’s take a look.

David de Gea tipped to move to Newcastle United
Well, Alan Pardew has said that former Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea would be a very good signing for Newcastle United.
The former Newcastle manager believes that De Gea is the best available goalkeeper out there.
Pardew made the comments about De Gea in the wake of Newcastle getting hammered by Tottenham Hotspur at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Premier League this past weekend.
Nick Pope is injured at the moment and will be on the sidelines for four months. Martin Dubravka started against Tottenham and had a bad game.
Pardew said on talkSPORT: “De Gea is available. If you’re the Newcastle manager and you’ve got this funding that you’ve got, you’re going to go for the best. I think he’s the best that’s out there.
“If I was his agent I’d be ringing them straight away because it seems like a perfect fit to me. It would only be about how long the contract would be, would it just be to the end of the season?
“Just give him a window to show himself, De Gea, or maybe longer to have direct competition. All of that to be discussed. But I think that is a definite possibility.”
De Gea perfect for Newcastle
In my view, David de Gea would be perfect for Newcastle United in the short term. I believe that the goalkeeper and the Magpies should try to get a deal done.
Manchester United and England international central defender Harry Maguire has previously described De Gea as “a world-class goalkeeper” who is also “a great shot-stopper”. According to talkSPORT, he goalkeeper is willing to make the move to Newcastle.
De Gea is a free agent now, so talks with the former Manchester United goalkeeper should go smoothly. The 33-year-old did well last season, and I believe that he will be able to make an immediate impact at St.James’ Park.
