Nottingham Forest currently in direct contact to seal agreement for 24 year old Astronomical player

Nottingham Forest have identified Fenerbahçe’s Michy Batshuayi as a target to strengthen their attack, according to claims from Turkey.

The striker ended his six-year spell at Chelsea to join the Yellow Canaries last summer. He finished his debut season there with 20 goals and two assists from 32 games.

Steve Cooper’s side are back in the mix for the Belgium international and have knocked on Fenerbahçe’s door.
It’s claimed the Premier League club have offered €10m to acquire his services but their bid was turned down by Fenerbahçe. In fact, it was their manager who ‘vetoed the departure’ of the player.

The Istanbul club have added Edin Džeko to their squad and his arrival could see the former Chelsea man become the second-choice striker this season.

Despite this, Fenerbahçe want him to continue at the club. Fotomaç state they would only be willing to sell Batshuayi for an ‘astronomical offer’. His contract expires in 2024, with an option for another year.

The report makes no mention of the fee needed to convince the Turkish club or whether Nottingham Forest plan to return with a new bid

According to Fotomaç, Nottingham Forest were interested in the 29-year-old before he joined the Turkish club.
