Phillies’ Bryce Harper has ultimate praise for Red Sox youngster Roman Anthony after WBC

The Boston Red Sox have their next star, as youngster Roman Anthony is as good as advertised. While prospects often come with questions, Anthony is already past that point, in my opinion, and the past year has shown that.

The Red Sox and their fanbase thought they had something with the outfielder, and they were right. What stands out most about Anthony isn’t just his tools, but his ability to stay calm in big moments already.

That trait is what separates good young players from true stars, especially in a market like Boston, where expectations are always high, and that’s exactly what caught the attention of Bryce Harper, who spoke about what he saw in Anthony during the WBC.

“Boston should be really happy. Fans of Boston should be really happy as well,” Harper said, per The Athletic. “He’s a big-market player. He comes through in big spots. It’s a lot of fun to watch him play.”

Harper saying this about Anthony is as good as it gets for the Red Sox star. Harper has been around this game for a very long time and knows all the traits of being that guy.

The Philadelphia Phillies slugger also had his fair share of pressure, coming up as the best prospect baseball has ever seen.
