BREAKING: KENTUCKY WILDCATS RECEIVES MASSIVE Milan Momcilovic UPDATE AND FANS ARE ABSOLUTELY HAPPY

With Momcilovic, the Cats finish behind only Louisville in the 247 Sports transfer portal rankings. The two rivals will battle it out on the court in December this year, which is way better than the early-season November matchup last year. So, we won’t have to wait long to see who is better at that point, though, with all the moving pieces, neither team will likely be at their peak.

But it just goes to show you that recruiting is a process; nothing is set in stone until the ink has dried on all the contracts, and it’s always best to reserve the hand-wringing for during the season.

What’s next?
With Milan Momcilovic signed, Kentucky basketball has an open scholarship that they may not use, but that’s not all that is coming up.

Mitch Barnhart will officially step down from his position as AD at the end of this month, and Kentucky Basketball still needs to hire at least one assistant. Mark Fox and Cody Fueger are also on expiring contracts, and Pope seems set on getting Jamal Crawford to join the Kentucky staff.

We are a reactionary society, thanks in large part to social media and the constant need for the next thing. And partly because deep down, a lot of us live on the pessimistic side.

Now, there are always your sunshine pumpers who can make anything sound positive, but in sports, they get drowned out by the Debbie Downers who peruse the message boards. It’s just the nature of a lot of sports fans.

If you were to search on Twitter before Milan Momcilovic joined and right after Tyran Stokes chose Kansas, Mark Pope’s name was being dragged through the mud. The 14-loss season ended with a blowout to Iowa State, and no one was happy. Then it seemed like all the elite talent who could have picked Kentucky ended up picking someone else.

After all that, Pete Nakos reports that Milan Momcilovic has officially now signed with Kentucky, and the Cats have a top recruiting class once again.
