Recently, the Mariners claimed José Suarez off waivers from the Atlanta Braves.
Just ten days later, the Mariners have now designated Suarez for assignment.
He appeared in one game for the team.
Suarez is most known for his time with the Los Angeles Angels where he spent the first six years of his career.

Following the Angels, he spent part of the last two seasons with the Braves (before Seattle).
Over 115 career games, the 28-year-old has gone 22-30 with a 5.34 ERA.
Miller’s Background
The Mariners will be happy to get Miller back in action.
While he is coming off a down year, the 27-year-old had a strong 2024 season.
Miller went 12-8 with a 2.94 ERA in 31 games.
Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times wrote (on May 9): “Bryce Miller will start Wednesday in Houston. With 14 games in 14 days , Mariners will use a six man rotation and then reassess after the road trip.”
The Mariners come into Wednesday as the second-place team in the American League West with a 21-22 record in 43 games.
