Breaking News: Auburn Tigers Football Star Is Signing With Another Term After Disagreement With D. J. Durkin

The Los Angeles Chargers activated Josh Harris from injured reserve on Saturday, making the long snapper eligible to play against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday night.

Harris spent the first nine games of the 2025 season on injured reserve after getting hurt while making a tackle on punt coverage in the Chargers’ preseason finale. Los Angeles did not detail the nature of the injury because it occurred in the preseason, but the Chargers’ injury report for this week listed Harris with a chest injury.

Sunday’s game will be the 208th regular-season NFL appearance for Harris, which will tie him with Chris Gray for eighth among Auburn alumni.

The Chargers and the Steelers square off at 7:20 p.m. CST Sunday at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. NBC will televise the game, which will mark the start of Harris’ 14th NFL season.

A Pro Bowl selection in 2021, Harris played his first 10 seasons with the Atlanta Falcons and is in his fourth season with the Chargers.

Another Auburn alumnus, safety Daniel Thomas, also is returning from injured reserve on Sunday after the Detroit Lions activated him on Saturday.

Thomas landed on injured reserve after breaking his arm in Detroit’s 38-30 victory over the Baltimore Ravens on Sept. 22.
