Breaking: Done Deal West Brom Now Officially Confirm The Departure Of Two Top Star

West Bromwich Albion, founded in 1878, are one of the oldest and most storied clubs in English football. A regular in the Premier League for most of the 2000s and 2010s, the Baggies have faced relegation twice in the last decade, first in 2018 and again in 2022. Known for their passionate fanbase and a history of producing top-tier talent, West Brom have seen some great players pass through their ranks, including the likes of legend Jeff Astle, and more recently, Matheus Pereira and Chris Brunt. The club’s focus has shifted to returning to the Premier League, playing competitive football in the Championship and as they strive to reach their previous heights once again.

Bannan, 35, is out of contract at the end of the month and is due to become a free agent. It remains to be seen whether he will be staying at Sheffield Wednesday.

In this latest update, reporter Hermon has poured cold water on speculation suggesting the Baggies want him on his X account. The Midlands outfit are looking elsewhere for reinforcements.

Ryan Mason is the new manager at The Hawthorns. Following his appointment, chairman Shilen Patel told their website: “We are excited to have someone whose skillset means he has the aptitude to help us further establish elite standards in both preparation and player development for the first team and across all our team programmes.

“His experiences as both a first team player and coach under some of the game’s most respected minds, along with his time leading academy sides, will be instrumental as we shape a clear philosophy and unified identity at all levels at the Albion.”

Bannan played for Celtic from 2002 to 2004 before dropping down the border as a youngster. He was snapped up by Aston Villa and went on to play 83 times for their first-team. He was also loaned out away from Villa Park at Derby County, Blackpool and Leeds United.
