“Millwall Star striker season is in jeopardy as it faces attack crises of crusial run-in.”

Millwall’s head coach, Neil Harris, expressed concern over the possibility of Tom Bradshaw’s season coming to an end.

The Wales international was absent from today’s 1-0 victory against Watford, with Harris confirming afterward that Bradshaw’s potential return would greatly benefit their Championship survival efforts.

“I can’t confirm it yet because he is scheduled to see a specialist on Monday,” Harris stated. “But I would be extremely pleased if he could contribute further this season.”

Bradshaw’s absence is due to an Achilles injury, which has developed gradually over time and finally gave out during training on Tuesday.

In addition to Bradshaw, Millwall is already dealing with the absence of Scottish striker Kevin Nisbet, who is sidelined with a knee injury and unlikely to feature for the remainder of the campaign.

With Nisbet out, Michael Obafemi stands as Millwall’s sole recognized striker option.

“I’m doing my best to support Michael because he’s been dealing with fitness issues for a while now,” Harris commented. “With only one recognized striker available, our options are limited, but that’s beyond my control. We’re unable to bring in new recruits at the moment, so we have to work with what we have. It’s my responsibility to find solutions. Of course, Michael can’t play every minute of every game, considering his injury history. It’s important for fans to understand this.

“We’ve had to be creative with our lineup. Today, we asked Ryan Longman to step up as a striker, even though it’s not his natural position. Duncan Watmore and Zian Flemming have also played there before. We’ll have to adapt and find ways to make it work. That’s my job.

“But I want to urge the fans to support whoever is playing up front. Michael is a fantastic player and a prolific goal scorer, as I’ve seen in training. We need to ease him back into full fitness gradually. I’ve been impressed with his progress, and it’s crucial that we protect him in the long run.

“I have full confidence in Michael Obafemi.”
