BREAKING NEWS: Proposed Blockbuster Phillies Trade Sees Philadelphia Deal For $500 Million Two-Time Cy Young To Replace Ranger Suarez
Yankees-Phillies Trade Pitch Offloads Jasson Dominguez for Two Prospects
t feels like both the New York Yankees and the Philadelphia Phillies need to make some sort of big move before spring training begins. Both teams are in the most competitive division, and when you look at what teams like the Braves, Mets, Orioles, Blue Jays, and Red Sox have done this offseason, the Phillies and Yankees might be falling behind.
For the Phillies, they brought in Adolis Garcia via free agency, but still have unproven names in the outfield, and Nick Castellanos future with the team is bleak. Philadelphia may be interested in Yankees’ outfielder Jasson Dominguez in a trade, and a recent FanSided article highlights a package that could get a trade done between the Phillies and Yankees.

Should the Yankees Trade Jasson Dominguez?
FanSided’s Christopher Kline believes that Jasson Dominguez has no place on the Yankees roster, and trading him away may help bolster New York’s farm system:
“Absent the opportunity to add a ready-made star, the Philadelphia Phillies ought to roll the dice on a few high-upside gambles like Domínguez. He’s probably a fourth outfielder to begin the season, depending on Justin Crawford’s spring, but Domínguez’s bat should play well at CPB and the Phillies need more pop in the back half of the lineup.”
He proposes that the Yankees send Jasson Dominguez to the Phillies in return for two prospects, Zach McCambley, and Jean Cabrera. Both are right-handed pitchers.
Kline also mentions that there’s a world in which Dominguez could be the Phillies’ left fielder by October if he’s given full reps. The issue with Jasson’s place on the Yankees is that it’s a crowded outfield room, but his switch-hitting ability and youth make him a desired trade candidate.
Spencer Jones is coming up the Yankees pipeline, but he’s dropped out of MLB’s top 100 prospects and may also be a trade piece for New York.

Is Jasson Dominguez’s Time With New York Coming to an End?
The Yankees’ coaching staff and upper management have backed Jasson Dominguez on the air, but with all the talented players on the trade market, there’s no telling how secure his future really is.
This trade package that Kline proposes might also be a little light on what the Yankees get in return. They might be able to flip Dominguez for a right-handed bat, which they desperately need.

In 123 games last season, Dominguez hit .257 with 18 doubles and 10 home runs. He has just 468 career at-bats under his belt. He also provides the Yankees with depth as another outfield option, and a pinch-hitter late in games.
