Just In: West Brom Coach Send 2 Words Message To West Brom Top Star After The Draw At Home Vs Leicester City

West Brom club captain Jed Wallace has outlined it is a “boost” for the Baggies to see Daryl Dike and Tammer Bany close in on a return to first-team training.

American international Dike, who has sustained two torn Achilles injuries in his near four-year spell with the club, picked up a thigh issue before their season-opener against Blackburn Rovers and has been slowly reintegrated due to his past problems.

Meanwhile, Bany, whose Baggies career has yet to take off due to injury issues himself, picked up a hamstring complaint while chasing a deep cross in a pre-season friendly against Dynamo Kyiv, and has also been dealt with a great amount of care.

In an original update on West Brom’s club website, it was revealed Dike and Bany would be back in contention for first-team duties shortly after the September international break, but it’s been longer than expected for the two to feel comfortable returning to training.

However, in his pre-match press conference prior to the Leicester City clash, Albion boss Ryan Mason insisted the pair could be available for selection after the upcoming October international pause, meaning they may well be pencilled in to don the blue and white stripes again for a home clash against Preston North End on October 18th.
