Breaking Done Deal: Formal West Brom standout Remains Unsigned And Has Decided To Stayed

West Brom could let 26-year-old leave this summer, report suggests

Frabotta, 26, joined the Baggies last year but has since struggled for game time. He made eight appearances in all competitions last season, six of which came in the Championship.

In this latest update regarding his situation, BirminghamLive claim he ‘could’ be ‘permitted’ an exit in this window. It remains to be seen at this stage whether there are any potential suitors.

After making the move to The Hawthorns, he told their website at the time: “West Bromwich Albion was an attractive option for me because I know this is a great club with a great history. It’s a dream for me to play in England and experience the football here.

“I’ve had a difficult few years because I have had to go out on loan a few times. I want to be part of a long-term project and I am very motivated for this.”

Meanwhile, former boss Carlos Corberan added: “He’s a specific left-back, which is a position we needed to fill, and he has a great attitude.”

The defender played for Consalvo and Savio as a youngster before rising up through the academy ranks at Bologna. He never played for the Serie A side though and was loaned out to Renate and Pordenone to get some experience before Juve signed him.

The Rome-born man then went on to play 18 times for the Italian giants, as well as being shipped out to Hellas Verona, Frosinone, Bari and Consenza to boost his development. The Baggies then came calling but he hasn’t adapted too well to England.
What now for West Brom?
West Brom will be weighing up what is best for Frabotta. WBA will consider his options and assess whether to keep him or let him go.

Cutting ties with the player may suit both parties involved. The Baggies would get him off their books, whilst Frabotta could go somewhere he is guaranteed regular minutes.

Mason will be looking to put his own stamp on his newly inherited squad over the next couple of months. The former Tottenham Hotspur man also has the chance to let some players head out the exit door as well if needed.
