Tottenham news: Opinion - Mikey Moore potential excites all at Spurs - BBC Sport

Former Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou said last year, as per BBC Sport: “It’s fair to say it’s incredible that he’s turning 17. We brought him into the first-team environment at the back end of last year. Every time he’s played for the under-18s or under-21s, he’s had an impact.

“For a very young guy, he adjusted really quickly [to the first team]. He’s come back pre-season and done really well in the games and in training. It’s great for this football club that he’s come through our academy and is already showing great promise.”

Birmingham City are being patient with their recruitment. BCFC aren’t rushing into any deals at the moment and are waiting for the right characters.

The Blues stormed to the League One title in the last campaign. They ended up going up along with Wrexham and Charlton Athletic.

Chris Davies was brought in as their manager 12 months ago and has done an impressive job. He has worked as the number two in the past at Celtic, Leicester City and Spurs.

Birmingham City could see Moore as someone to boost their attacking ranks. He would give them something different at the top end of the pitch.

West Brom update after Ryan Mason appointment

West Brom have turned to Ryan Mason as their head coach. WBA picked the 33-year-old as their replacement for Tony Mowbray and handed him his first managerial role in the game on a three-year deal running until 2028.

Mason knows Moore well from his time as a coach at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. He was part of Postecoglou’s backroom staff as they won the Europa League last term.

The Baggies have delved into the market so far to sign centre-back Nat Phillips on a permanent basis from Liverpool following his temporary stint at Derby County. They have the chance to bring in more reinforcements over the next couple of months.
