The Manager Of Brentford Is Now Finally Replace By 3 Times EPL Trophies Coach

Tottenham have turned their attentions towards a deal to sign Brentford forward Yoane Wissa, according to their former scout.

Mick Brown, who also worked as the chief scout at Man United and Blackburn and remains very well-connected at his former clubs, exclusively told Football Insider that the 28-year-old is seen as the ideal fit for Thomas Frank’s plans.

Following the former Brentford boss’ appointment, he has now set his sights on a reunion with his former player with whom he enjoyed a close relationship.

The DR Congo international has no shortage of suitors, as Brown told Football Insider in January that Arsenal have been tracking Wissa’s progress.

However, Spurs have now moved ahead of potential rivals in their pursuit of the forward who scored 19 goals in 35 Premier League games this season.

This comes after Football Insider revealed in March that Brentford are bracing to receive offers for Wissa in the summer transfer window.

Brown told Football Insider on 15 June that Tottenham could sign Bournemouth’s Antoine Semenyo, as the new manager is an admirer of his.

The former scout, who has a wealth of experience in top-level player recruitment after over a decade at Man United during their most successful period, insisted that Spurs are set to back Frank in his transfer plans by signing his top targets.

“Yoane Wissa is going to be a target for Tottenham,” he told Football Insider.

“He’s a player Thomas Frank knows well, they’ve got a good relationship and he’s served the cause well for him at Brentford.

“He knows what he’s got in his locker and what he can bring to the side.

“On top of that, Spurs want to back the manager with players he wants to bring in.

“Looking at this Tottenham team, it’s a good team on paper but it hasn’t been functioning.

“The manager has to ask, which of these current players would he want to go to war with?

“With Wissa, he knows him well, he knows how consistent he is and he’d go to war with him tomorrow.

“His goalscoring record at Brentford is fantastic, he’s got a proven track record, and his relationship with the manager will play a key role.

“So he would be a perfect fit for this team, and if he’s going to leave Brentford, I think Tottenham are going to be the favourites to sign him.”
