Aaron Nola of the Philadelphia Phillies has found a new home following his injury setback.
The Philadelphia Phillies are having a successful season, but things might change shortly as one of their key players is injured. Pitcher Aaron Nola has indicated stiffness in his damaged right ankle, and he did not throw a bullpen session as planned, according to ESPN.
On May 16, Nola was placed on the 15-day injury list for his right ankle. He hasn’t had the finest season so yet, and before going on IL, he surrendered 12 hits, nine runs, and three home runs against the St. Louis Cardinals, all career highs.

This season, Nola is 1-7 with a 6.16 ERA in nine starts. In 11 seasons with the Phillies, Nola is 105-86 with a 3.78 ERA.
Nola hurt his ankle while practicing agility in the outfield in Tampa. He said that his ankle irritated him so much that he was overcompensating.
“Obviously, I never want to go on the IL,” she stated. “As a competitor, I am here to pitch. I’ve pitched through a lot of stuff before, and little setbacks haven’t stopped me. I expected this to decrease by now, but it hasn’t. “It’s frustrating.”
To compensate for Nola’s injury, the Phillies recalled right-handed pitcher Daniel Robert from Triple-A Lehigh Valley. Robert was traded from the Texas Rangers on April 30.
Edmundo Sosa, a Phillies shortstop, was recently scratched from the lineup for Philadelphia’s game against the Athletics on May 24 due to left wrist soreness.
