Breaking News: Steelers Fans Bid Farewell to Another Star Player Following QB Signing
As speculation swirls around Aaron Rodgers potentially joining the Pittsburgh Steelers or stepping away from football altogether, the New Orleans Saints find themselves facing their own quarterback dilemma. With four-time Pro Bowl QB Derek Carr recently retiring, the Saints now have a major void at the league’s most crucial position.
While New Orleans did draft Tyler Shough in the second round and also has 2024 fifth-rounder Spencer Rattler and 2023 fourth-round pick Jake Haener on the roster, none of these young quarterbacks have proven themselves capable of matching the level of a four-time NFL MVP.
Saints insider Jeff Duncan of Nola.com recently explored the possibility of Rodgers landing in New Orleans but reported that the team is not considering him as an option.
Given that the Steelers are widely seen as more playoff-ready and the Saints are expected to be among the league’s weakest teams in 2025, it’s no surprise Rodgers appears to be prioritizing Pittsburgh over New Orleans.
